1. Our conditions of delivery

  1. Terms

Deliveries are made by the carriers DHL or COLISSIMO, according to the customer’s choice, to the address provided by the customer. PO boxes and poste restante (general delivery) addresses are not acceptable as delivery addresses, and in such instances www.serie-noire.com shall reserve the right to cancel any orders. 

Exception for the following orders, that delivered by COLISSIMO:

  • flammable products as perfumes and candles

  • parcels that must be shipped to Russia

Every parcels are Delivered Against Signature.

Deliveries will be made to the address provided by the customer during ordering.

The defacto purchaser shall be deemed as the person whose name and address is specified on the invoice.

Deliveries can only be made to one address per order. If more than one delivery address is required, the customer must make separate orders for each delivery address, and applicable shipping charges will be calculated accordingly.

  1. Shipping costs 

The customer can choose the option « Click and collect » and get its parcel directly in our concept-store in Lille, for free. 

Delivery costs are defined according to the carrier chosen, the size, weight and destination of the package. These are indicated prior to the validation of the order and the customer is informed of the total cost of delivery before the payment of the total amount of his order.

According to the volumetric weight of the package, the shipping cost ranges are:

  • Colissimo France: from €8

  • Colissimo Europe: from €15

  • Colissimo outside Europe: from €30

  • DHL France: from €15

  • DHL Europe: from €15

  • DHL outside Europe: from €25

  1. Customs and duties

Orders processed on the www.serie-noire.com website and dispatched outside France may be subject to applicable taxes or customs duties, and these charges shall be borne by the buyer.

Customers should be aware of the applicable taxes and customs duties in their country of residence.

  1. Delivery timeframes

Orders are processed within 12 hours from Monday to Friday.

For delivery with DHL:

  • For orders in France and Europe, deliveries will be made within 24-48 hours, if the order has been placed before 12am

  • For orders outside Europe, deliveries will be made within 48-72 hours if the order has been placed before 12am

For delivery with COLISSIMO:

  • For orders in France, deliveries will be made within 72 hours, if the order has been placed before 12am

  • For orders outside France, deliveries will be made within 3 to 10 days if the order has been placed before 12am

Serie Noire will inform the customer by e-mail of the dispatch of his order and of his tracking number.

These times (in working days) are provided as guidelines only by our carrier. The customer cannot request a cancellation of order, claim any damage or interest or request compensation of any kind and www.serie-noire.com cannot be held responsible for any delays for any reason whatsoever attributable to the carrier.

In any event, delivery of goods will not exceed 30 days.

If the customer chose the option « Click and collect », the customer can collect his order within 2 hours during opening hours: Monday : 2-7pm / Tuesday-Saturday: 10:30am-7pm without interruption. 

  1. Shipment Tracking

The customer can track his package with the tracking number communicated during his shipping confirmation on:

  1. If the addressee is absent

Via DHL: if the addressee is not present during delivery, the package can be delivered to another person nominated by the addressee, or a delivery notification slip will be left in the mailbox for the addressee to collect the package at a later time. The Customer also has the possibility of recontacting the DHL company by himself.

Via COLISSIMO: the carrier leaves a transit advice note in the Customer's mailbox indicating the procedure to follow to collect his package from the post office closest to his home.

If the package is not collected within the legal period, it will be returned to Serie Noire. Any subsequent deliveries will incur further charges. In this instance, www.serie-noire.com cannot reimburse any part of the order.

  1. Non-Receipt of Goods

Please inform us if you have not yet received your shipment up to a maximum of 30 days after your order has been charged. We are unable to accept any claims after this period.

  1. Non-delivery of Goods

www.serie-noire.com shall not be held responsible for any obligation to deliver in any event of force majeure or chance (fire, theft of work equipment, inclement weather, stock shortages that cannot be replenished by the manufacturers, accidents, internal or external breakdowns, loss of information, postal, transport, communication or fuel supplier strikes, etc).

The customer will of course be kept informed of any cancellation of delivery of his order.

  1. Transport Risks

The receiver should check the general condition of the package on its arrival. Where possible, this should be done in the presence of the delivery company representative. If it is noticed that, during the course of transport there is any damage or items missing, the customer should:

  • Make a note, on the delivery slip, of any suspected damage or missing items, and sign the slip

  • If necessary, refuse delivery of the package and note the reasons for any refusal on the delivery slip (also signed)

  • Share your claim by email to [email protected] Please include your order and delivery references. 

Your claim cannot be processed if there is no note of any damage or missing items on the delivery slip and if www.serie-noire.com was not informed within the time period specified.

No claims of any nature will be considered if the shipment has been accepted without any mention of damage or missing items at the time of delivery and if our company was not informed following the procedure specified above.

In the event of a claim, an investigation on the shipment will be conducted, and any reimbursements will be dependent on the conclusions of this investigation.

2. Our conditions of returns

  1. Terms

Return costs are the responsibility of the customer.

All customers are considered consumers within the definition of the “Code de la Consommation” (French Consumer Law). Items ordered on the Série Noire website are intended for personal use only, and are subject to a Right to Withdraw of 14 days following the receipt of goods. 

Merchandise must not be worn, altered, or washed.

Merchandise must have all tags attached.

Merchandise must be returned in original and not damaged packaging.

  1. How to prepare my parcel 

Please join in the parcel any information that helps our team to identify the order quickly: invoice, handnote with your names, the number of your order, … 

To return your order, you can use the same box or another one, but make sure that the merchandise is wrapped carefully. We could refuse the return.

Footwear must include the original shoe box in its original condition, without postal labels. Shoe box fees of €30 are charged when footwear is returned in a damaged box.

  1. Return costs

Return fees are at your charge. 

  1. Reimbursement 

Once the return is registered by our team, we refund the full amount of your order on your account (bank or paypal). 

The reimbursement will be guaranteed by Série Noire, to the same credit card account, or Paypal account, within a maximum of fourteen business days following the revocation of the contract.

  1. Defective goods

All goods sold are guaranteed according to Article 1641 of the Code Civil (French Civil Law).

Additionally, goods sold are subject to a product conformity guarantee under Articles L.211-4 and further under the Code de la Consommation.

In the case of non-conformity of goods sold, the customer will have the choice of repair or replacement of the product.

In any case, even if the customer's choice results in a disproportionate cost to the seller, the customer may still proceed according to his/her choice.

If repair or replacement is impossible, the customer may return the goods and be reimbursed for the same.

Reimbursements may also be made if the solution requested by the customer cannot be acceded to within a month after the customer's claim is made.

In all cases, the application of the guarantee against the non-conformity of goods sold shall not incur any further cost to the customer.

In the case of non-conformity of goods sold, such goods must be returned to the seller who must receive these goods and exchange them, or reimburse the customer for the same.

The replacement of a non-conforming product does not entail the prolongation of the guarantee.
