JUNYA WATANABE - CREATIVE MADNESS

After six years of her own evolution under the Chanel textile studio, Gabrielle Lefèvre launched “Fabric (Hunted and Collected)”, amalgamating her passions: fashion, travel, beautiful materials and the traditional craftsmanship of India and Nepal.

Gabrielle showcases authentic textiles, which she finds during the course of her travels. She offers a feminine wardrobe mainly composed of pantsuits, which has become her trademark piece, as well as dresses, jumpsuits and pants.

For materials, Gabrielle uses handwoven materials such as ikat (a very finely woven and dyed fabric). These materials are developed back in the workshops in India and Nepal, where the designer had spent months building special bonds.

The idea was to truly highlight this craftsmanship and give work to the local artisans. I hope everyone wins, and earns their rightful share of the work done”, emphasizes Gabrielle.

“In terms of cut, I have consciously chosen a more generous one, as I would like to include all body types. My designs are as comfortable as they are elegant, because I want them to suit women of all ages and cultures”.

Gabrielle hopes to take time to develop her business, to launch a cruise line as well as fall-winter / spring-summer collections and later to diversify into bags and sandals, which will also be “always created from handwoven materials”.
