For the Fall-Winter 2025-2026 collection, the first Artisanal collection by Glenn Martens at the head of Maison Margiela explores the heritage of the house through an experimental and expressive couture. Presented in Paris in a raw setting, the collection confronts the tradition of handmade with a contemporary aesthetic, almost theatrical. The silhouettes oscillate between rigidity and fluidity: draped dresses, sculpted corsets, deformed suits. Each piece seems to carry a memory: exposed seam, rough finishes, controlled wear effects. The palette, dark and mineral, is punctuated by deep reds and ivory whites. Masks, present on several looks, extend the theme of anonymity dear to the house. The whole is a vision of haute couture that is both narrative, technical and resolutely up-to-date.
