COMME DES GARÇONS fragrances have been described as "anti-perfume", which symbolises this niche brand par excellence. In 1992 in Japan, the artist Christian Astuguevieille met Kawakubo. This meeting sparked the collaboration between the two creative minds, and Astuguevieille became the artistic director of the COMME DES GARÇONS perfume line in 1994.
