A.P.C is a French brand created by Jean Touitou in the 1990s, whose initials stand for 'Atelier de Production et de Création’ (Production and Creation Workshop) ie Production before Creation. Jean Touitou undertakes to respect his line of action: a timeless and precise production, an exigence of cuts and materials.
The designer worked for Kenzo, Agnès B. and Irié, then later launched his own first “Winter 87” solo collection.
He began by producing jeans and used an Egyptian silk thread to obtain an unwashed Japanese raw denim.
A.P.C became the brand for basic and essential items in men's and women's wardrobes.
