Heron Preston

“See the world as the biggest construction zone we've ever seen, it's like a work in progress,” says Preston. Entitled “It’s All Good, It’s All Fucked” or “Tout va bien, tout est foutu”, the HERON PRESTON Fall-Winter 2020 collection is once again inspired by the workers of New York City. For the designer, workwear is the most authentic form of street wear.

Once again, Heron Preston knows how to surround himself and collaborates with artist Kenny Scharf, the British Army and Caterpillar. Heron Preston makes a committed choice and joins forces with the British Army which protects animals from poaching in Africa. The white Rhino badge reimagined exclusively for the collection is affixed to the sleeves. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these coins was donated to the African Parks organization, which works directly with the UK Ministry of Defense.

For the orange-construction touch, Heron chooses the American brand Caterpillar, a supplier of construction machinery and materials. The recognizable orange logo appears on most parts.

And finally, Heron Preston asks artist Kenny Scharf to reinterpret the bird, a symbol of eta since its inception. This is the first time that another's brush has passed over the famous heron. A graduate of the New York School of Visual Arts in 1980, he is one of the emblematic figures of street art and the underground movement. His friends from club 57 are Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol and Keith Haring.

HERON PRESTON is the eponymous brand of the multifaceted artist of the same name. Close to Virgil Abloh and a former Kanye West collaborator, Heron Preston launched his brand in 2017 and brings us a "streetwear luxury" fashion inspired by workwear.
